Alternate Light Source Applications

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

• Understand how the visible light spectrum works
• Take precautions when using UV light
• Know how the visible light spectrum can assist investigators in collection of evidence
• Apply filter and photography techniques to assist in courtroom testimonies
• Identify biological fluid location, enhancement and efficient recovery

Please wear appropriate work attire with closed toes shoes as this is a hands-on class.

Each student is encouraged to bring their own camera and equipment kit to use, but a Nikon D80 and Canon 20D camera kit will be available to students who may need them for the duration of the class
