Students will complete a pre-test to demonstrate a working understanding of how criminal and civil cases are different.
Students will participate in class discussions involving scenarios pertaining to criminal and civil matters and how and why specific investigative techniques and evidence would be used to prove or disprove a case.
An essay-style post-test will be given at the conclusion of this course, ensuring students can demonstrate a working knowledge of the best investigative practices to be considered and the differences between conducting a criminal and civil investigation.
