Michael Thompson
Upon retiring from law enforcement in 2004 after serving 27.5 years, Michael (Mike) Thompson obtained his Private Investigator license. For the past 15 years, he has been a Licensed Private Investigator in the State of Florida and owns his own business. Mike also serves as the Director of Law Enforcement Training and an instructor at the CSI Academy of Florida.
Mike served as the Special Operations Bureau Commander for the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. He has also served as the Director of the Eighth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office Special Investigations Unit. Mike is a graduate of the FBI National Academy 215th Session and is a member of the FBI National Academy Associates. He is the immediate Past President of the Florida Association of Private Investigators. Mike obtained the designation of Board Accredited Investigator (BAI) from both FAPI and Intellenet. He has served as a contractor in the US Department of State Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program (ATAP) conducting training for foreign Military and Police Tactical Units in the US and overseas. Additionally, since February 2017, Mike has served as an Investigator for the Florida Bar 3rd and 8th Judicial Circuits. He joined Legal Services Network in 2018.
